What Our Christian Church Believes

Cross and Bible

Find out more about our Christian faith and what we believe as a non-denominational church. We focus only on the message God sent us through the Bible and the example of Jesus.

  • We believe that if the Christian is going to truly glorify God, we must work with all of our might to lead the lost to Salvation. As Christians, we are to follow Jesus’ steps. And Jesus said that His main purpose was to save sinners! “The Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10).
  • We believe that all hope is found in Jesus Christ alone. All people fail. All people need healing and forgiveness at different times in their life, and only through Faith in Jesus Christ and by His Grace can they find hope and peace.
  • We are not a religious church. Thus, we don't have a set of manmade rules to live by. We use God's word as our standard and do our best to live up to it, knowing that the only act that can truly make a person righteous is living a life of repentance. As 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
  • We believe investing in our youth and small children is important because they are tomorrow's church. The church of today can learn a lot from them.

God - The Father

  • He is in control of this world, universe, and anything else that may exist
  • He is eternally existent in three personalities: the Father; the Son, and the Holy Spirit
  • These three are co-equal and are one God.

Genesis 1:1, 26-27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ - The Son of God

  • Willingly gave his life on the cross as the only perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men
  • He arose from the dead three days after His death and burial, which demonstrates his power over death and sin
  • He ascended back to Heaven and assumed His place of glory at His Father's right hand.
  • He will return to the earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
  • Born of a virgin, Conceived by the Holy Spirit.
  • The Son of God
  • Equal with the Father
  • He lived a perfect, sinless life

The Holy Spirit

  • He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing the right thing
  • He accomplishes this by making men aware of their sinful condition and pointing out the truth concerning who Jesus Christ is.
  • Equal with the Father and the Son as God
  • He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ
  • He lives in every Christian from the very moment of Salvation.

2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:1.

Salvation

  • While no person, power, principality, or circumstance can steal a man’s Salvation. Each person may reject their own Salvation, choose to no longer serve God, or backslide
  • Produced only by trusting Jesus Christ as God's perfect sacrifice for the sin of all mankind
  • Only comes through Faith in Christ
  • Works cannot save a man
  • Salvation is God's gift to humanity

John 3:3, 7, 16; Acts 16:31; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1.
